Back to normal.

Now that I'm done with posting stuff  from our Berlin trip Copenhagen stuff will have to do.
as I mentioned I started my internship monday last week, I'm gonna be there for ten weeks so that is almost the only thing I'm gonna be doing this summer. the place where I intern is a menswear brand called Asger Juel Larsen, and right now it's all about getting stuff ready for production so a lot of illustrator drawing! because there is nothing to do in the period the school planned our internship in a lot of the students (including me) have chosen to move their summer vacation to september. so all the relaxing summer stuff will have to wait.
last week my bike died, for the second time in two weeks, but yesterday my boy got it fixed and I can now get to "work" in ten minutes instead of the half hour it takes me to walk there. yay!
also the weather is better here now, today was really hot, but still not summer every day, just some days.
I'm missing the cheap tasty Berlin sushi a lot! the sushi here cost more so it's not an everyday thing and I hate that. but yesterday we went to the running sushi place across the street, they had a one year b-day offer, and we both ate way to much, it was great.
last monday I bought a Sandqvist bag on the internet, I had been looking at it forever! and I needed a bag for my mac (mmm rime), plus I found a page where it was a lot cheaper then other places (Zoovillage). and today it arrived! while I was at work, but my boy texted me the second it was here, now I can't wait to use it tomorrow.

Last day of Berlin. the first days we had seen a lot of nice shops, but always when they were closed. so we came back to check them out on our last day. I found the shoes I had been looking for, and we both got new awesome sunglasses. at lunch we found an american diner and ate huge burgers!!! mmmmm with shake and fries.. after lunch we took a long walk, much needed after giant burgers of doom, we saw check point charlie but then it started raining so we found a bus. on the way home we stopped for a drink at hard rock café and then picked up some sushi for later.
at the hotel we saw three scary movies in german and ate a little sushi, I packed our stuff and then fell asleep.
before we had to go to the airport on sunday we had star bucks ice latte and left over sushi for breakfast.

this weekend we went to my mom's house for her b-day and had cake. today I went to work with my mom, always so awesome my mom rocks the lunch box thing, and later I had dinner with my parents.
tomorrow my second week of internship starts and my bike is still not working.

Sushi from Berlin's underground.

Our friday in Berlin: we didn't know what we wanted to do so we just started walking, then got bored, but then my boy found a sushi place in a Berlin guide and we decided to go there for lunch. the guide said "very hard to find" and it was... the place was underground on the way to the train station, I was a little skeptical at first but it was clean and didn't smell like train at all, it was just a really cool place and super cheap!!
then we took a long walk and saw the memorial for the victims of the holocaust. we kept on walking for a long time and saw a man doing soap bubbles, some shops, star wars lego!, a awesome bar were we had a beer, a upside down car and a bridge with "love locks" on it.
in the Berlin guide there was also something about an old bar that had a lot of photos on the walls, and it was close to where we lived so we took the train home to get another beer. after the beer (that makes 3 x beers and 1 x sake so we were a little happy) we saw a "sailing sushi" place on our way home and went for some late night sushi, yes with sake. to top it all off we went back to the hotel and drank champagne.

what is happening now? I just ended my first week of internship, and i'm glad to say it's a good place with nice people. it's still cold. it's weekend now yay! and I miss my bike that died.

More from Berlin.

Day 2 it is.
we started our day with homemade brunch at the hotel, made by me with some of the stuff we bought the day before, it was really good but way to much food for the two of us. then we went for a walk to look at shops and to find out what was close. we went to Ka De We, a shopping mall that has a feinschmecker floor! with everything in vine, spices, coffee, cake, fruit, cheese etc. etc. we both loved it, and I wanted to buy everything! plus I can not stop thinking about showing it to my mom, she would go crazy!!
that night we had tickets to go see The Wall, that's the main reason we were in Berlin, so we went for at little stop and relax at our hotel before taking the train to O2 world. when we got there we saw that the O2 world was right next to the Berlin Wall, perfect intro to the concert, and it was such a great show! I was really impressed by all the things happening on stage.

other stuff: monday was my mom's b-day but we are going to have it tomorrow instead. I started my internship! yay! and it's all about illustrator right now. and my bike died a little today.

Back from Berlin.

Yesterday we came home from Berlin, the trip ended with a not so good cap ride home from the airport... apparently all the important roads to and from the airport had been closed so that people could roller skate, not a very good idea.. we didn't get home fast, which was the point of the cap ride, and we had to pay twice of what we paid to get to the airport on wednesday.. not the best ending but it is nice to home again, and the rest of the trip was great!

great to get that bad taste out!
I might split our tales from Berlin over a few post, as I have taken A LOT of pics! and mostly of food...
so I'll start at day one and see how far I get before it's boring.

our hotel was an apartment hotel so we had our own little kitchen, and right down the street was a store that closed at 10:00 pm. so the first thing we did was to go there and buy stuff for the fridge, we ended up just buying everything that looked good, plus all the thing you can't get in Denmark.
we went back to our room to drop things of and then out to get something to eat, the girl at the reception knew a sushi place right around the corner, and that is where we got our sailing late night sushi.. everything in Berlin is open later then in Copenhagen and that is just perfect for our daily routine, I already miss it so much!!

Berlin,Kiwi,Dude and the Wall.

Now it's finally here!!! tomorrow morning we are going to Berlin!! I have been waiting for this for so long and I think I'm even more excited then my boy, even though he is the big Pink Floyd fan, yea we are going there to see The Wall. but also to have a small vacation, and ever since I found out that sushi is really cheap in Berlin I can't wait to get there and eat sushi till i drop!!! we are only there for four days but it's gonna be great!
